Conferences exclusively designed by and for early career scientists provide an excellent opportunity for peer to peer learning, networking and inspiration. The Postgraduate Conference provides opportunities for Masters students, PhD students and early career post-doctoral researchers to share their state of the art ocean-related science.  

Postgraduate Conference

These conferences are organised by post-graduates, with the support of the MBA, for the postgraduate community. Since the first in 2002 these conferences have run almost annually with speakers including MBA fellows, students, postdocs and invited guests from across the globe.  The organisation of the conference passes to a new group of postgrads from a different institute each year, learning is shared and support provided.  This is an excellent opportunity for Marine Biology post-graduates to gain experience in organising scientific conferences and those involved often go on to organise national and international conferences.
