I hold a BSc in Marine Biology from the University of Plymouth, where I found my passion to study marine Invertebrates, expecially zooplankton. At the MBA I support the Continuous Plankton Recorder (CPR) Survey team through the taxanomic identification of net-caught and CPR samples.
Through various marine conservation-based placements such as at St Abb’s marine station in Scotland, I have honed my interests, where I found my love of contributing to marine research and studying all things small. This includes understanding the effects of climate change and anthropogenic stressors upon marine communities, with a particular focus on planktonic crustacea.
Outside of work I am an avid sea swimmer, SCUBA diver, cyclist, climber and hiker. I am passionate about ocean health and the benefits of immersing others in nature, helping them to experience the tranquility it can offer.
