As Business Research Support Officer, I work with businesses across Devon, connecting them to the Marine Biological Association through the Marine Business Technology Centre, and supporting them through access to our facilities and resources.
I previously worked as Falmouth Marine School’s Project Innovation Officer as part of the Marine-i2 Project, which supported businesses in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly to fulfil their Research, Development & Innovation potential, as well as securing placements for graduates within the Cornish marine sector. In the past, I have also been involved in a variety of educational engagement and marine fieldwork based projects with Ilfracombe Aquarium, North Devon AONB, and the MBA itself; including the Coastal Creatures Project, MBA Bioblitz, and EMS Recreation Study.
Throughout my time with the MBA, I want to gain further experience in business engagement, support, and networking, as well as expand my skills in aquaria and maintaining marine life systems.
A frequent walker, snorkeler and fisherman, I am never too far from the coastline or countryside if I can help it. My other hobbies include gaming, whether that be on a computer, board or tabletop, and when I get the time, I occasionally go bouldering at The Climbing Hangar.
