I am the Research Technician on the RV MBA Sepia. Alongside other sea-going crew members I support and assist during research activities at sea, including but not limited to maintaining and deploying scientific equipment, obtaining samples and collecting project specific data. Additional responsibilities include promoting and supporting education and research activities at the Citadel Hill laboratory.
I graduated with a Masters in Marine Biology and Ecology from James Cook University and a Masters in Ecotourism-Wildlife Management from Edinburgh Napier University in 2018. I am a highly driven, hardworking individual with background and experiences in diverse fields, including marine science, ecotourism, diving, boating and mechanical engineering. I have worked, studied and volunteered in multiple locations as well as several marine industries in the last 10 years. I have extensive experience on sea-going vessels, gained during seasonal work as a naturalist, volunteering and diverse research projects in the Mediterranean, Scotland, Australia, Iceland, Norway, Hawaii and the Maldives.
