Chiara is a Plankton Analyst and is currently developing her taxonomic skills in identifying phytoplankton and zooplankton from North Atlantic samples. She also helps the rest of the team, processing log forms and with sample preparation. Her research projects have focused on high-resolution biostratigraphy, stable isotope stratigraphy, and paleoenvironmental and paleoclimatic reconstruction, spanning from the Miocene to Recent, from the Mediterranean to the Arctic.
Chiara holds a MSc and PhD in Earth Science from the University of Padua (Italy). She has since worked as Research Assistant, Post-Doctoral Researcher and Lab technician in Italy (Padua University), Norway (Tromso University) and Plymouth University.
