John Readman is a consultant at the MBA and provides support to Knowledge Exchange, Research and the NMBL. He has eight years of experience in the marine environmental sector, with a background in Chemistry. Through his work at the MBA, John has organized workshops and conferences, delivered keynote speeches and authored 52 sensitivity assessments (available on-line) to support the management of UK marine and coastal habitats and species.
He has been involved in promoting public understanding of our marine environments and Ocean Literacy, assessing the impacts of anchoring and mooring, recreational activities of the Tamar Estuary and assisting with work cataloguing ecosystem recovery in the 50 years since the Torrey Canyon oil spill disaster.
His interests concentrate on the human connections to our Ocean, with the application of innovative approaches including use of photography and novel technologies to foster this connection.
