Alison is the Sea-Going Research Technician on the RV MBA Sepia. Her role is to support the MBA’s education and research activities at sea and at the Citadel Hill laboratory.
Alison has a back ground in marine biology. Prior to joining the MBA, she worked on Saint Helena Island where she was responsible for scientific data collection at sea, providing data to support the islands 200nm Economic Exclusion Zones designation as a category VI Marine Protected Area. She has experience working with a variety of sampling equipment from a diverse range of vessels. She designed and implemented the first long term environmental monitoring programme for the Island through her work on a Darwin Plus funded project.
