Nick graduated with a BSc Honours degree in Environmental Biology from Swansea University in 1979. He then spent 25 years working in IT as a systems designer and programmer. Wanting a new challenge he returned to science and took an MSc in Biological Diversity at the University of Plymouth. In 2008, Nick joined the Behavioural Ecology Group at the MBA as a Research Assistant and part-time PhD student. Nick is interested in exploring ecological problems through computer modelling and simulations, with a particular focus on the foraging behaviour of marine vertebrates.
