The objective of the Celtic Seas Partnership is to provide an independent evaluation of the ecological coherence of the current MPA network in the Celtic Seas MSFD sub-region (UK, French and Irish waters), highlight gaps, and evaluate the potential contribution of other types of closed area to the network. The Celtics Seas Partnership (CSP) is an EU LIFE+ funded project which aims to bring together key marine stakeholders, governments and the scientific community within the Celtic Seas to find workable ways of implementing the Marine Strategy Framework Directive (MSFD)
The partnership’s overall objective is: 'Demonstrate successful approaches and best practice through multi stakeholder collaboration to guide practical implementation of the Marine Strategy Framework Directive and contribute to “Good Environmental Status (GES)” of the Celtic Seas'. A key output from the Celtic Sea Partnership is production of a Celtic Seas Web Portal and the MBA was commissioned to provide a report on the information needs of the portal - http://www.celticseaspartnership.eu/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/informati...
