Claire has worked for the Continuous Plankton Recorder (CPR) Survey for the past 12 ½ years. She began as a Plankton Analyst in 2003 and for the past 3 ½ years has combined this role with that of Deputy Laboratory Manager. Claire has gained considerable taxonomic experience in identifying phytoplankton and zooplankton species from all areas of the Survey – including North Atlantic, South Atlantic and Pacific regions. She has also helped to identify species from the Antiki cruise across the Atlantic.
As well as ensuring smooth running of the analysis programme, Claire has also organised both phytoplankton and zooplankton taxonomic workshops held at Citadel Hill.
Claire graduated from Plymouth University in 1996 with a BSc (Hons) Environmental Science.
