Professor Peter Holland FRS is the Marine Biological Association Governor representing the University of Oxford. After a degree in Zoology from Oxford, and a PhD in Genetics at the National Institute for Medical Research, London, Peter Holland has held academic posts at the University of Oxford and the University of Reading. He is currently the Linacre Professor of Zoology and Head of the Department of Zoology at the University of Oxford. Peter Holland has been awarded the Linnean Medal for Zoology, the Genetics Society Medal, the De Snoo Medal, the Alexander Kowalevsky Medal and the Scientific Medal of the Zoological Society and, in 2003, was elected to Fellowship of the Royal Society.
