National and International Partnerships and Links

Aquatic Sciences and Fisheries Information System (ASFIS)

The NMBL serves as the UK national Aquatic Sciences and Fisheries Abstracts (ASFA) partner on behalf of NERC, preparing indexed abstracts and co-ordinating input from three collaborating centres, CEFAS and FBA for the ASFA bibliographic database published by ProQuest. European Association of Aquatic Sciences Libraries and Information Centres (EURASLIC)

EURASLIC exists to provide a European forum for discussion in the aquatic science information field, and to build discussion links between the member institutions.

International Association of Marine Sciences Libraries and Information Centres (IAMSLIC)

IAMSLIC 's objectives are similar to those of EURASLIC but have a world-wide scope. It also maintains its own discussion list which facilitates communication between members and non-member via e-mail.

Research Council Libraries and Information Consortium (RESCOLINC)

RESCOLINC is the focal point of the LIS of the 45 Research Council libraries.

South West Marine Science Forum (SWMSF)

The NMBL has constructed and maintained a database containing papers from the NMBL database relating to the Fal and Helford cSAC, Poole Harbour SPA, the Exe Estuary SPA, the Severn Estuary pSAC, SPA, Plymouth Sound and Estuaries cSAC, SPA and Chesil Beach and the Fleet cSAC, SPA. The database is available on the SWMSF website

Sir Alister Hardy Foundation for Ocean Sciences (SAHFOS)

The NMBL provides records for the Continuous Plankton Recorder (CPR) bibliography.
