Eligibility

Corporate membership of the MBA is available to universities, corporations and other organisations with an interest in the marine sciences

With Journal (online only) £360
With Journal (print and online) £425

Benefits

  • Subscribing to the journal provides online access to all issues published since 1887 as high-resolution, searchable PDFs. Currently, Members subscribing to the journal also receive access to the Marine Biodiversity Records, which is an exciting title that serves as an online complement to its sister publication, the JMBA.
  • Discounts are available for non-OECD countries, charities and SMES (but with reduced benefits).
  • A copy of Estuaries and Coastal Waters of the British Isles – the Library’s annual bibliography of references on all aspects of the marine science of British waters (normally £45 for 2010)
  • Access to the National Marine Biological Library by academic bodies and by non-academic bodies for up to one week per year (normally £50 per week plus VAT)
  • Access to the NMBL bibliographic databases
  • One hour’s free literature searching undertaken by a professional member of Library staff. Additional searching will incur a fee.
  • A discount on registration fees for the Corporate Member’s staff attending MBA scientific meetings.
  • Discounted rates for undergraduate, postgraduate and other specialist courses organised by the Association at Citadel Hill and elsewhere.
  • Discounted rates for hire of the Resource Centre.
  • A copy of the MBA Annual Report.
  • MBA Newsletter (two issues per year).
  • opportunity to influence the activities and policy of the Association through attendance at AGMs
  • opportunity to influence Marine Policy at the UK level and beyond
  • Password controlled members only area with access to MBA Member Expert Database
