MBA Fellows are senior practitioners in marine biology. In order to become an MBA Fellow it is necessary to demonstrate a contribution to the field of marine biology at the highest level. Once an application for MBA Fellow status is accepted the recipient is entitled to use the post-nominal of FMBA.

The FMBA postnominal is therefore a nationally acknowledged indication of a person’s standing in the discipline of marine biology and shows recognition by their peers in the marine biological community.

An MBA Fellow also has access to the full range of member benefits.

All applications will be reviewed by the Applications Committee. This committee consists of the first MBA Fellows:

  • Prof. Chris Frid FMBA (Chair)
  • Prof. Phil Rainbow FMBA
  • Dr Jen Ashworth FMBA
  • Prof. Alistair Hetherington FMBA
  • Prof. Peter Holland FMBA
  • Dr Bev Mackenzie FMBA

We are now inviting applications to become an MBA Fellow. If you would like to apply or simply find out more about MBA Fellows then please contact the membership secretary at membership@mba.ac.uk
