The National Marine Biological Library (NMBL) comprises the MBA’s library and archive collections covering the marine life and environmental sciences, and provides a range of information services that support research in the marine sciences locally, nationally and internationally. The collection is one of the world’s largest of its kind, constituting a unique source of information in its subject area.
The NMBL’s website is itself a useful resource to explore the facility’s collections and services. It includes information on the MBA’s research outputs (though the Research Repository), more than 20 MBA occasional publications (see here), full texts of relevant books, including the 1968 MBA report on the Torrey Canyon oil spill, and early issues of the Journal of the Marine Biological Association (here).
The NMBL is the research library of the MBA, PML and SAHFOS. Use of the library is also benefit of MBA membership. Please see the NMBL Services page for more information on use of the NMBL.
