The MBA’s Dr Olivia Langmead attended the launch of HRH Prince of Wales’ International Sustainability Unit (ISU) Marine Programme Launch on Friday 3 February at the Fishmongers Hall in London. The aim of the ISU’s Marine Programme is to build consensus globally on how the positive examples of sustainable fisheries management seen around the world can be replicated at scale.
In his keynote speech, the Prince outlined a positive future for the future of global fish stocks. Responses to the Prince were given by Commissioner Maria Damanaki, the European Commissioner for Maritime Affairs and Fisheries and the Rt. Hon. Richard Benyon MP, Parliamentary Under-Secretary for Natural Environment and Fisheries. Olivia advised the ISU on marine protected areas science in spring 2011 and was delighted to attend the programme launch.
